St. Patrick’s soup kitchen and food pantry is located at: 9 North Clinton Avenue in Bay Shore, New York.

The Ministry’s goals and objectives are to aid, empower and support the oppressed, unemployed, working poor, seniors, children, and families in the Bay Shore, Brightwaters, and Islip Communities. They endeavor to achieve these goals through various programs by assisting with information, referrals and advocacy in various areas, regardless of race, creed or denomination.

The Fire Island Fifty Fifty will donate food stuffs and supplies to specifically aid in the Ministry’s Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry programs.

The Soup Kitchen serves breakfast and lunch from 10:30am to 1:30p Monday through Friday. Guests are not limited to geographical boundaries.

The Food Pantry is open all year to assist needy families with food to take home. The hours are: 10:30am to 1:30pm Monday through Friday. Clients must reside within the Parish’s boundaries.

Catherine Dennis, Coordinator of Parish Social Ministries, oversees a 120 member volunteer staff, serving approximately 100 Soup Kitchen & Food Pantry guests per day, and more than 6000 “clients” with legal, medical, & employment advocacy and other parish ministry services each year.
